What is Send & Secure?

It’s a secure file transfer tool that allows you to encrypt and decrypt documents without storing them in the cloud.

What does it offer?

Client-side encryption, private sharing via link or QR code. For one-time transfers, no account is required.

How does it work?

You select your file, it gets encrypted on your device, and then you send it manually along with a separate decryption code provided either as text or embedded in a QR code.

How are my files protected?

All files are encrypted locally. We never store, access, or have visibility into your content, ensuring your files remain entirely under your control from encryption to decryption.

Is there a file size limit?

Due to browser limitations files larger then 1 GB will result in an error.

Are the files stored anywhere?

No. Files are never stored on our servers, only you and your recipient handle them.

What is post-quantum encryption?

It’s advanced encryption designed to resist attacks from quantum computers, offering future-proof security.

Is Send and Secure compatible with mobile devices?

Yes, the platform works on all modern browsers and mobile devices.

Do I need to install any software?

No installation needed. The encryption and decryption both run directly in your browser.

How do I decrypt my data if I change devices?

Simply use the encrypted file and your original code or QR code on the new device, no account migration needed.

Can I encrypt multiple files or messages at once?

Yes. You can upload multiple files in one session, and they’ll be encrypted together in a single package.

Can I share the encrypted file and decryption key with multiple people?

Yes you can, but the more people have access to the encrypted file and the key, the less safe your file/encryption is, so it is best to create a new secure transfer for each person.

How do I know my data is secure with your service?

All encryption happens on your device before anything is sent. We do not store your files or decryption keys, ensuring only you and your recipient have access.

Do you log any activity or track my usage?

We only store minimal operational logs required for service stability; never the content of your files or messages.

Are you compliant with GDPR and eIDAS?

Our services are developed in line with GDPR principles and eIDAS requirements, with a focus on data minimization and audit readiness.

Can anyone at your company access my files?

No. All encryption happens locally on your device. Since we never store files or decryption keys, our team has no access to your data.

What happens to my data after a transfer is complete?

We do not keep your files on our servers. Once the encrypted file is sent, it exists only on your device and with the recipient.

How do you handle law enforcement requests?

Since we do not store your files or keys, we can’t provide access to your content. Only basic account details will get shared with law enforcement when legally required.

What algorithms are in use to encrypt my files?

We protect your files with AES-GCM encryption, using a key generated from a random word through PBKDF2 with SHA-256.

What happens if I lose either my file or my encryption key?

If you lose either the file or the key, the data cannot be recovered; no one, including us, can decrypt it. You’ll need to encrypt the original file again to generate a new key.

Is the service free?

Pay per use requires a small fee. Subscriptions unlock unlimited transfers.

What’s the difference between the plans?

Pay per use is ideal for occasional users. Subscriptions give you unlimited access to the service and priority support. Enterprise plans are tailored for organizations, with advanced features made custom to tailor to the needs of the enterprise.

How do I create an account?

You’ll create your account during the subscription process. Just choose a plan, enter your details, and you’re ready to go; no extra steps needed.

I forgot my password, what should I do?

Click “Forgot password?” on the login page to reset it.

Can I use the service without creating an account?

Yes. One-time transfers don’t require registration.

What data do you store from my account?

We keep only what is needed to run your account securely and process payments. This includes your email address, subscription plan and payment status, and billing details (handled securely by our payment provider). We never store your files, decryption keys, or any content you send.

What payment methods are accepted for pay per use?

We accept both major credit cards and local payment methods via our payment provider.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time in your account settings.

Is there a refund policy?

Refunds are not available once encryption has started, as the service is delivered instantly. If you purchased by mistake or encounter a technical error that prevents use, please contact support and we will review your case.

How does the monthly billing work?

You’re billed monthly until you cancel; no long-term commitment!

How do I receive my invoice?

Invoices are sent to your email automatically after each payment.
